SECTIONChoose Ramen Shops by Lunch or Evening Hours and Location

If ramen is a specific goal in Niikappu, compare whether a shop is lunch-only or also an evening option, whether it is around the roadside station, Higashimachi or Honcho, parking, closing days, and whether companions can choose something other than ramen. Hours and menus change, so confirm operation for the day you plan to visit.

SECTIONMain Ramen Options Confirmed in Niikappu

As of the primary and local-official information checked on August 11, 2026, the following six options were confirmed. Distinguish ramen-focused shops from restaurants that offer ramen as one item on a broader menu.

DATA / CHECKScroll horizontally to view →
OptionLocation / roleHours shown at time of checkPublication note
Ramen Horyu NiikappuHokuseicho / ramen-focused11:00–20:00; orders accepted until 19:30Confirmed listing. Check Wednesday, third Tuesday and other closures
Restaurant JurinInside roadside station / restaurant11:00–14:30Conditional. Published information differs on hours/closures

Marukoshi RamenHoncho / lunch option11:00–14:00 shownConditional. Limited primary information on closures etc.

Koryori ShinbashiHigashimachi / evening small-dish restaurant16:00–22:00 shownIntroduced as ramen being one dish at a small restaurant

When comparing options, distinguish a ramen specialist from a restaurant where ramen is one menu item. The best choice changes between someone who prioritizes ramen and a group that needs set meals or child-appropriate alternatives. Do not assume everyone must order the same thing; confirm the day’s menu.

Soup, noodles, toppings and prices can change, so this article does not infer current offerings from old photos or reviews. If you are making a detour for a particular flavor or item, confirm directly that it is offered that day and whether it can sell out or be limited to certain hours.

SECTIONCheck Hours, Closing Days and Parking Before Flavor

Miso, salt and soy-sauce preferences matter, but operating conditions come first in an itinerary. Kiichiro, Marukoshi and Jurin in particular have differences or gaps in public information, so confirm the opening day and service hours before departure. Horyu is described as having parking for about 15 cars, but that does not guarantee a space when busy.

  • Opening status and last order on the day of your visit

  • Regular closing day and how the day after a public holiday is handled

  • Parking and whether large vehicles can use it

  • Payment such as cash or card

  • Other menu choices children or companions can eat

  • Same-day notices such as sellouts or soup running out

When checking operation, confirm whether there is a break between lunch and evening service, whether ordering ends before closing time, and whether closing days change around holidays or seasons. For parking, do not assume you can stop in front of a shop; confirm designated spaces and entrances, and do not park on roads or neighboring property.

SECTIONIf You Eat Around the Roadside Station

Restaurant Jurin is inside the roadside station and is easy to combine with the Re・Cord Museum, Yushun Tower and shopping at the roadside station. However, the facility’s opening hours and the restaurant’s meal service are separate. Food service may have ended even when the facility itself is open.

For roadside-station hours, parking, shopping and how to combine a stop with the Re・Cord Museum, see the existing “Thoroughbred Road Niikappu Roadside Station Guide.” Recheck the restaurant’s operation separately.

SECTIONFor Companions Who Need Something Other Than Ramen

If a companion does not eat ramen, options can include Jurin, which lists several categories such as set meals and rice bowls; Chaya Yugure, which handles meals, noodles and sweets; or Shinbashi, where ramen is offered as one small-restaurant dish. Confirm the day’s menu and any arrangements for children directly with the shop.

With childrenPortion, flavor, seating and waiting time
Want to combine with onsenChaya Yugure meal last order and onsen reception
Want a light evening mealOrder cutoff at Shinbashi, Horyu, etc.

For overall planning with children, use “Niikappu with Kids.” For a broader range of lunch choices, use “Niikappu Lunch Guide.”

If companions have restrictions related to salt, spice, portion size or allergies, do not lock the plan to a ramen shop. Include restaurants with set meals or lighter food as options. A dish shown in a menu photo may no longer be offered. Before entering or ordering, confirm there is something everyone can eat.

With small children, check whether sharing bowls, child chairs, seating where a hot ramen bowl can be placed safely, and waiting time are suitable. Reducing noodle portions or serving spice separately is up to each shop, so do not state that accommodation is available in the article; ask directly.

SECTIONReturn to the Main Lunch Guide When a Shop Is Crowded or Closed

Even if ramen is your first choice, switch to another lunch option in the same area if the shop is closed, crowded, sold out or outside service hours. Downtown options can include NIKAP, Jurin or Dining Salon Emashia; toward the onsen, Chaya Yugure; and on a museum day, check ATLANTIS. Keep a second choice through the “Niikappu Lunch Guide.”

SECTIONBuild Ramen into a Drive or Sightseeing Route

When combining ramen with downtown sightseeing, consider Jurin, Horyu or Marukoshi; toward Higashimachi, Kiichiro or Shinbashi; and toward the onsen, Chaya Yugure. Choose in the same direction as your next destination. Driving back and forth across town for ramen can affect attraction closing times and the evening return trip.

Half-day driveAllow 60–90 minutes for lunch and decide in advance how to switch if closed

For a half-day or full-day drive, use the existing “Half-Day and Full-Day Driving Itinerary in Niikappu.” For roadside-station details, use “Thoroughbred Road Niikappu Roadside Station Guide.”

SECTIONPolicy for Updating Menu, Price and Operating Information

This article is a body-frozen draft based on information checked on August 11, 2026. Recheck hours, closing days, order cutoff, menu, prices, parking and takeout roughly every 30 days. Kiichiro, Marukoshi and Jurin require an opening check immediately before publication, and unverified menu names or prices must not be added.

If a shop relocation, name change or temporary operating arrangement is confirmed, remove outdated addresses or photos and update the primary-source check date.

If a closure or long-term shutdown is confirmed, do not automatically replace the shop with another one; re-audit the role of the entire article.
